USSSA National Football Championship 2023 – Boys Result
St. Mary’s SS kitende 1-0 St. Henry’s College Kitovu
St. Mary’s SS kitende overcame a resilient St. Henry’s College Kitovu to retain the USSSA National Football Championship 2023. The Wakiso based side have now won the competition three times in a row and eleven times in total, equalling Kibuli SS’ record.

Habib Oloya scored early in the first half to sink Kitovu’s chances of lifting the national championship. The Masaka side were participating in the final for the first time and had beaten Kitende 2-1 in the group stage.
In the third place play-offs, Royal College were 4-2 winners over Amus College in the most dramatic match of the day. The first half of the game ended 2-2, but Royal College returned energized enough to put the game to bed

St. Mary’s SS Kitende, St. Henry’s College Kitovu, Royal Giants and Amus College will represent Uganda in the East Africa games scheduled to take place in Rwanda later this year.
