West Nile 2-0 Lango: The White Rhinos take first leg advantage
Saturday – West Nile Province will take a two-goal lead to the Aki Bua stadium after a thrilling 2-0 win over Lango Province in their FUFA Drum final first-leg.
West Nile led the tie after 35 minutes when Toha Rashid scored with a freekick before Amaku Fred put them two-up inside 60 minutes.
The visitors were passive in their defending during the opening minutes of the second half, summed up when Amaku Fred was allowed to take a left-footed shot to beat Emmanuel Odongkara to his far-left.
West Nile Province will play Lango Province in the second leg of the FUFA Drum final on Sunday 15 January at Aki Bua Stadium, Lira.
