On Tuesday morning the draws of the Stambic Uganda Cup were conducted with joint record champions Express and KCCA battling each other.
The Lugogo based side cruised into the quarter finals with a 5-0 aggregate win over Maroons. The first leg ended 2-0 in favour of KCCA away at Maroons before the yellow birds sealed it with a 3-0 win at home.
Meanwhile Express Fc beat up on Uganda Premier League table leaders URA by 2-1 on aggregate to advance to the quarter finals of the Uganda Cup. Express sealed the win in the first leg after beating the tax collectors 2-1 at Wankulukuku, thanks to goals from Martin Kiiza and Kambale. The second leg ended 0-0.
Vipers SC vs SC Villa
The Venoms booked their place in the quarterfinals of the Uganda Cup after defeating UPDF Fc 4-2 on aggregate. The Vipers won 3-1 in the first leg at Bombo military barracks. Thanks to goals from Vuni, Or it and Manzoki. The second leg ended 1-1 after Vuni’s opener was canceled by Bobosi’s equaliser.
SC Villa advanced to the quarterfinals on a 1-0 goal aggregate over Onduparaka Fc. Villa won 1-0 away at Greenlight in the first leg before holding onto a 0-0 draw at home to progress to the quarterfinals.
Wakiso Giants vs Police Fc
Wakiso Giants were the biggest winners in the round of 16 with a 7-3 goal aggregate over Tooro united. The first leg ended 5-1 at Wakiso. Goals from Ssebuufu, Bogere, Senfuka and Ssekajjugo were enough to give the purple sharks a first leg advantage. Wakiso Giants travelled to Tooro to salvage a 2-2 draw with Viane Ssekajjugo scoring the equaliser at the death after after the western side were 2-1 up.
Meanwhile Police ran riot over Solito Bright Stars advancing with a 4-1 aggregate. Police forward Ben Ocen scored twice in the first leg. The cops were beaten 1-0 in the second leg with a goal from James Angu.
Proline Fc vs Kigezi / Bul Fc
Proline Fc went past Mbale Heroes in the quarterfinals. The Big league side won 2-1 at home with goals from skipper Noordin Bunjo and defender Savio Kabugo.
On the other side, Bul won 2-1 against Kigezi. Wandyaka and Musa Esenu scored for the Jinja side and Lubowa scored for the visitors.
However, the two sides are yet to play the second leg of the quarterfinals.
