AFCON 2023 – Ugandan referees miss out as CAF releases list

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the list of selected referees to TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 preparation course.

A total of 32 referees, 33 assistant referees and 4 Video Assistant Referees (VAR) have been listed to take part in the course.

There’s no referee that has been selected from Uganda, but Kenya, DR Congo, Burundi, Rwanda are represented. Among assistant referees, Kenya’s duo of Gilbert Cheriyot and Yiembe Stephen will represent East Africa.
