Thursday – Zawadi Usanase scored a hattrick for AS Kigali in a comfortable 3-0 win against Warriors Queens FC at the Azam Complex, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
After a decent start from the Warriors Queens, the visitors dominated and hardly put a foot wrong with their passing in the first half.
And it was Zawadi Usanase who opened the scoring for AS Kigali Women FC to bring action at half-time to a close.
AS Kigali kickstarted the second period more spirited to add in more goals as they attacked continuously. Their hard work paid off after Zawadi Usanase added a second after 63 minutes. Shortly, Zawadi completed her hattrick five minutes later.
Rwanda have now won their opening two games of the CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers – CECAFA Zone 2022. AS Kigali Women FC came from a goal down to defeat Fofila PF 2-1 as Zawadi Usanase scored a brace for the Rwandan side.

Medina, Nardos, and Loza (3) were on target for Commercial Bank of Ethiopia went rampant as Irankunda scored the consolation for Fofila PF.
Commercial Bank of Ethiopia skipper Loza Abera scored her second hattrick of the tournament.
