CAF – African Football League draws set for 2 September
Confederation of African Football (CAF) has set aside 2 September as the date for conducting the draws for the first ever African Football League.
Launched in August 2022, the African Super League will now be known as the African Football League. The first edition will have eight teams that have already been informed.
The participating teams have been seeded and drawn into two groups, each containing four teams with the top two sides progressing into the semi-finals. One team has been picked from each of the top-ranked leagues on the continent.
Mamelodi Sumdowns will represent the PSL as traditional giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates miss out.

The new competition is set to kick off in October according to CAF.
