CAF Women’s Champions League – Simba Queens Grouped Alongside Morocco’s ASFAR FC

Tanzania’s Simba Queens, the Confederation of East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) representatives at the 2022 TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League have been placed in the same group with Moroccan giants ASFAR FC. The north African side won the Women’s Champions League bronze medal in Egypt last year.

The draws for the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League took place today at the prestigious Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Rabat, where the composition of the groups was revealed.

The CAF Women’s Champions League draws were conducted today in Morocco.

Zambia’s Green Buffaloes and Liberia’s Determine Girls are the other two teams that join Simba Queens and ASFAR FC in Group A.

Simba Queens made their way to the tournament after edging Uganda’s She Corporates 1-0 in the finals of the CECAFA Zone qualifiers.

In group B, defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies of South Africa will face Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens, Egypt’s Wadi Degla and the UNIFFAC representative.

The second edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League is scheduled to take place from 30 October to 13 November 2022 in Morocco.

ASFAR wo Moroccan Women’s championship title with 76 points from 26 matches for the 2021/22 season.
