CAF Women’s Football; Uganda drawn with the hosts Morocco in Group A.
The Total Energies Women’s AFCON 2022 groups were drawn yesterday in Morocco and Uganda were drawn in Group A with the host Morocco, Senegal and Burkina Faso.
Uganda last took part in the fourth edition of the Africa Women’s Championship held in South Africa in 2000 and didn’t go past the group stages.
In Group B, we have Cameroon, Zambia, Tunisia and Togo. It will be Togo’s first time to take part in the tournament.
The defending Champions Nigeria, were drawn to group C and they will play against South Africa, Burundi and Botswana.
The debuts this year, we have Burundi, Togo, Burkina Faso and Botswana. The Tournament will kick off in July 2022 running for one month in Morocco.
