Crested Cranes Fall to Senegal in 2022 WAFCON Group Opener

The Crested Cranes fell to Senegal after a 2-0 loss in their opening match of the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Ndeye Awa Diakhate and Nguenar Ndiaye condemned George Lutalo coached side who made a return to the continent after 22 years, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Sunday evening.
The Crested Cranes were sloppy at the back which costed them three points at the end of 90 minutes. The visitors we’re not clinical ahead of goal as well as they failed to convert their chances.
Uganda has to win their last two games in order to stand a chance of progressing to the knockout stages.
The Crested Cranes will face North African Morocco on Tuesday before their last Group game against Burkina Faso on Friday.
