Edinson Cavani signs new Man United contract

Football transfer writer Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Edinson Cavani has signed a new contract at Manchester United.

He tweeted

“Edinson Cavani has just signed his contract extension with Manchester United, here we go!

“Done deal and confirmed. The agreement has been completed, Cavani has accepted to stay after Man Utd board and Solskjaer were pushing to keep him. Cavani’s new contract with Man United will be until June 2022 and not 2023. He’ll decide his future at the end of the next season.

“Boca Juniors were offering a two years contract but Edinson Cavani decided to stay for one more season in Europe.”

However, Manchester United is yet to release official club statement to confirm the development.
