Express FC – Isa Lumu Named New Team Captain

Thursday – Isa Lumu has been named as the new team captain of Express FC for the upcoming 2022/23 season. He will be deputised by Denis Otim. The defender succeeds Enock Walusimbi, who is rumored to be close to joining Dundee United in Scotland.

The hard-tackling centre back whose contract expired at the end of last season recently renewed his contract to stay at Wankulukuku for two more years.

Lumu joined Express in 2020 from Tooro United and went on to win the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, and CECAFA Kagame Cup in his maiden season with the Red Eagles.

The new skipper also helped Express to concede only 13 goals during their triumphant 2020/21 season.

However, last season was one to forget after Express conceded 25 goals, leaving them ravaging at 6th position at the end of the season.

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League will return on September 30 with FUFA yet to release the fixtures for 2022/23 season.
