FIBA Zone V AfroBasket – Uganda bows out as Egypt qualify

Monday – Uganda have failed to qualify for Women’s AfroBasket Tournament 2023 after falling to Egypt 74-65 at the MTN Arena, Lugogo.

CAF CL – Vipers SC draw 0-0 with Horoya AC

Egypt will represent Zone V in Rwanda at the Womens Afrobasket Tournament 2023.

The Gazelles were behind by one point in the first quarter.

The visitors kept ahead at halftime after outscoring Uganda 40-38.

Egypt managed to maintain their lead in the third quarter 59-53.

The winners wrapped it up 74-65 to finish as the best team in the qualifiers. The North Africans will represent Zone V at the Women’s AfroBasket Tournament 2023 in Kigali, Rwanda.
