FUFA Announces New Dates for Postponed Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64 Matches.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed revised dates for the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 matches that were postponed.

The delays were due to several SC Villa and KCCA FC players being part of the Uganda Cranes squad preparing for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

SC Villa will now face Seeta United on Thursday, January 23, at the Seeta Church of Uganda Primary School ground.

KCCA FC will take on non-league side 403 Brigade on Friday, January 24, at the St. Daniel Comboni Secondary School ground in Napak.

The match between Kisoro Young Simba and Kataka has also been rescheduled to Thursday, January 23, moving from its original date of Saturday, January 25.

So far, only one Uganda Premier League (UPL) side, Mbale Heroes, has been eliminated, leaving other top-tier teams still vying for the trophy.

With the UPL title seemingly out of reach for both SC Villa and KCCA, the Stanbic Uganda Cup represents a critical chance to secure silverware this season.

KCCA, the tournament’s most successful team with 10 titles, will aim to extend their record, while SC Villa, with nine titles, will seek to narrow the gap.

Stay tuned for more updates and results from the competition.
