Gift Ali scores first 2020/21 UPL campaign goal in Busoga win

KCCA Fc thumped Busoga United by 3-1 at Mtn Lugogo stadium on Sunday evening, at the same time super talented midfielder Gift Ali scorer his first goal of the 2020/2021 Premier League campaign.

KCCA’s first attempt came through Peter Magambo who set up Herbert Achai. However the latter’s effort went wide.

Peter Magambo once again dribbled past three men and fouled at the edge of the 18 yard box. Juma Balinya curled the ball in the back of the net to give KCCA the advantage.

Charles Lwanga added in the second for the kasasiro boys in the 32′ minute before Ekoloti lbrahim pulled one back for Busoga United.

In the early second half, Gift Ali started shooting spreading passes all over the pitch for fun. This delighted the fans in attendance.

The talented midfielder later scored from the spot after Busoga United conceded a penalty in the 78′ minute.

KCCA remains 14th on the Premier League table with 45 points, 11 behind third placed Vipers SC. The Lugogo based side next travel to Kitara before welcoming Wakiso Giants at home.

Busoga United will welcome URA and then travel to face SC Villa. The Jinja based side are 13th on the Uganda Premier League table, 3 points away from relegation.
