Head coach Richard Lumu drops U20 rugby team players to 33 in training.
The Uganda U20 Rugby national team held a second session of practice matches on Sunday afternoon at Kyadondo Rugby Club as preparations for the Rugby Africa U20 Barthes Trophy 2022 come closer.
These practice matches were so eye catching as the youngster displayed a lot of talent and resilience but then there is a lot more to improve with just twelve days left to the kick off of the tournament in Nairobi, Kenya
The first session was on Sunday 20th March and it was to meet up with the players and their coaches since the news had it that Uganda would replace Senegal at the event dropped and over 60 players were in attendance.
At the end of the session, team head coach Richard Lumu axed his training squad to a group of 33 players.
The coach is further expected to cut off more eight players in the course of the week.
A traveling squad of twenty five players is expected to be named on Friday to fly to Kenya to go and represent the pearl of Africa.
The Rugby Africa U20 Barthes Trophy will be played at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya from the 9th to 17th April 2022.
