Impressive Arsenal score five as Norwich woes continue.
2 min readHaving only ever beaten the gunners twice in the Premier league era, the Canaries came into this fixture following a bad run having lost their previous three unlike their high flying opponents that have joined the top four hence favourites .
Arsenal only made one change with the injured Tomiyasu missing out and Rob Holding returning back.
The Gunners got off to a flying start dominating possession easily playing through the Norwich press. This quickly paid off with Bukayo Saka getting on the score sheet. Arsenal continued pressing for a second but continued lacking the finish . However Kieran Tierney soon made it two as the half came to an end.
Arsenal came after the break having put the foot off the gas with Norwich creating more opportunities but unable to take any with Puuki failing to pounce after a loose ball by Ben White. This would be rued with Gabriel Martinelli soon making it three for it to be cancelled because of an offside.
That seemed to be the turning point as Saka’s thunderbolt made it three to probably end any hopes of a comeback. Arteta seemed not yet done as supersub Emile Smith Rowe came on and immediately made an impact with a sharp ball leading Ozan Kabak to Foul Lacazette in the box who stepped up to make it four. Emile was it again as he tapped in a fifth to end an impressive performance.
Final Scores.
