Onduparaka football club had today lost to inform Express football club in an away match at Wankulukuku.
The Mukawano gwabangi made changes in the team that faced Onduparaka. Kusiima made his debut in goal. Mubuya came in at right back as Walusimbi replaced the suspended Issa Lumu to partner Murishid Juuko at the back.
Express started lively almost scoring scoring in the third minute when Martin Kiiza worked out the ball from the left but his shot flew into the sky.
The caterpillars made no major attempts in the game and looked dull for all the 90 minutes. However, they managed to hold on for a goalless draw in the first half.
As soon as second half resumed, Express pressed Onduparaka on to their own half. Their pressure paid off in the 80th minute when sensational striker Erick Kambale broke the deadlock after a successful dribble from the midfield.
He added his second of the evening from Martin Kiiza’s free kick after Ivan Mayanja was fouled.
The win pushes Express three points behind Vipers and four behind URA who have 46 and 47 points respectively.
However, the loss meant Onduparaka is 5 points from relegation.
Onduparaka is having a rough time in the league at the moment. The caterpillars have ha their worst ever season in the Premier League since they were promoted.
They have lost majority of their key players who have since moved on to other clubs for different reasons.
Onduparaka has lost their last four league games including the recent against Express Fc, and have a tricky fixture in their next game against table leaders URA Fc.
The caterpillars are yet to play UPDF, Police, Vipers, Kyetume before the end of the season and everyone is scared that the Arua based side may drop to the Big League. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen.
