“KCCA FC and Coach Sergio Traguil Part Ways Amid Struggles”
1 min readKCCA FC and Portuguese coach Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil have agreed to mutually terminate their partnership, just four games into the Startimes Uganda Premier League.
This announcement was made through an official club statement available on their website; https://www.kccafc.co.ug/press-release-kcca-fc-sergio-daniel-mutually-part-ways/
The primary reason mentioned for the termination was “Family Issues,” and no specific explanation was provided for the departure of assistant manager Luis Manuel Correira Guerreiro.
KCCA FC has faced significant struggles this season, failing to secure a single victory in the Uganda Premier League and suffering losses to BUL FC, Maroons FC, Express FC, and Kitara FC.
They also had an early exit from the CAF Confederation Cup, being eliminated in the second preliminary round by Abu Salim of Libya.
In response to these challenges, First Team Coach Jackson Magera has been entrusted with taking charge of the team on an interim basis.
It’s noteworthy that Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil, who signed a two-year employment contract as KCCA head coach in June, is departing in less than five months.
Reports suggest that Traguil had disagreements with several senior figures and lost the support of the dressing room.
