KCCA FC visit a high flying BUL FC side in Jinja this afternoon
3 min readLugogo based KCCA FC make a short trip to Jinja to play third placed BUL FC at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
KCCA FC are second on table with 46 points,only two points ahead of third placed BUL FC who have 44 points from 25 games.
BUL FC, through the efforts of Hilary Onek and Jerome Kirya got a 2-0 win over against Gaddafi FC in the previous league game while KCCA FC lost it’s first game to Vipers at Lugogo after a 2-1 win for the Venoms.
Alex Isabirye’s men who are unbeaten in their previous five games want to turn things around after a 3-1 win for KCCA in their reverse fixture back in December and a win for BUL FC will see them leapfrog today’s opponents.
“We lost 3-1 to them in the first round but this will be a different game because we are improving game by game under the guidance of an excellent group of coaches.Therefore, this game will not be like it was in the first round, and I am expecting a very good show.”– BUL FC’s Alex Isabirye during his pre match conference.
“They are ahead of us by two points, and they are one of the best teams in Uganda with a quite a good number of trophies but we are also building a team that will win trophies in the next seasons.That is why we are trying to compete now.Generally, tomorrow’s game may entirely not be so easy but we expect to win it because we are at home.” He added.
While KCCA FC want to return to winning ways after a 2-1 defeat at home against rivals Vipers last Saturday which saw them go twelve points clear in the title race.
“We play a side that has been in great form but we know we need to improve on our recent performances and defend the club badge.The squad has been trimmed because of injuries and some are away due to school tournaments like Lwanga and Ayella.” KCCA FC’s Morley Byekwaso during his pre match conference.
“Aheebwa picked a knock in the previous game and will not travel but we are confident that we shall have able replacements to represent the club.” He added

KCCA FC has eleven wins, four losses and drawn five times in their previous 20 games against BUL FC.
The previous Meetings has seen a combined 48 goals scored between the two sides with KCCA scoring 31 times and 17 times for BUL FC.
The Eastern Giants have also won their last two games when home to KCCA, winning 2-1 and 3-0 in February of 2021 and October of 2019 respectively.

Sadat Anaku will miss the game due to suspension after a third booking in their previous game While Forwards Brian Aheebwa and Erisa Ssekisambu are ruled out today due to knee injury and illness respectively.
Emmanuel Wasswa, Wasswa Geofrey and Brian Kayanja continue with post surgery rehabilitation and light training with the team physiotherapist.
Patrick Kaddu, Gift Ali and Julius Poloto are still ruled out of action. Dominic Ayella and Charles Lwanga will miss the game due to school commitments.
