Red Eagles Soar with Maximum Points in the East
Express FC secured a 2-0 victory over Busoga United at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru. Captain Allan Thierry Kayiwa scored the opener from a penalty in the 13th minute, and Express FC extended their lead with an own goal by Odongo in the second half.
Busoga United had their chances but hit the crossbar twice, and Express FC’s Arthur Kiggundu nearly scored an own goal. Bashamu Mugwa pulled one back for Busoga United, but it was ruled offside.
The match ended 2-0 in favor of Express FC, and Isaac Wagoina was named the Man of the Match. This was Busoga United’s second loss of the season, while Express FC remained unbeaten and goalless in their opening game.
Express FC manager James Odoch had this to say;
“Iam very happy for the win because it’s what we had planned for, we’ve improved comparing to the previous game. I believe if the boys stay comfortable as they’ve been we will keep performing better even in the games to come.”.
