SC Villa unveil Chinese tyre manufacturer as new shirt sponsor

It’s official – Chinese tyre manufacturing enterprise, Shandong Linglong Tire Co. Ltd will be the main shirt sponsor for SC Villa during the 2023-24 season.

This morning, the Jogoos unveiled their new shirt sponsor.

Despite scanty information, it is believed that the sponsorship package is worth $1,250,000 (over Shs4.5B) which will run for five years with the club receiving $80,000 (Shs290m) per season.

It is understood that part of the money will also cater for the team’s salaries and an amount worth $170,000 (Shs617m) will be invested in the club’s stadium construction.

Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) owe Villa Shs3B which the club is looking to add on to the money needed for stadium construction.

SC Villa is undergoing resurgence under the club President Omar Mandela. The club were on track to win the Uganda Premier league last season only to throw it away on the final day.
