Vipers SC continued with their poor rub of form losing to Express by a goal to nil.
Byamukama scored the only goal of the day with a beautiful screamer from 18 yards as the visitors moved 3 points adrift the top.
Byamukama was all smiles as his goal earned the mukwano gwabangi a vital win to stay in contention for the league title.
“First of all, am very happy to score my second goal [of the season]. But this was very important for us because we managed to get three points from away,” Byamukama lamented,
“Today’s goal, I scored it because last week we have been practicing shooting. We have been shooting a lot. It was easier for me to score this goal.”
The win pushes Express just three points behind the table leaders Vipers and second placed URA.
Meanwhile the loss leaves Vipers on tension as the title seems to be slipping away.
Next for Vipers is Myda away from home before hosting KCCA, meanwhile Express will host off-form Westnile side Onduparaka.
Kyetume 3 – 2 Wakiso Giants
Wakiso Giants suffered a defeat away in the hands of relegation threatened Kyetume.
The purple sharks started off well with an early goal from former Onduparaka winger Viane Ssekajugo in the 16th minute before Ssentongo levelled from the spot in the 21st minute.
Ivan Bogere restored Wakiso’s lead in the 22nd minute.
In the second half, Feni Ali scored to give Kyetume the second goal before Ssaka scored the winner in the 68th minute to give Kyetume the much needed win to wave away the pressure of relegation.
Kyetume will next travel away to Airtel Kitara in the Uganda cup round of 16 and resume the league at Myda.
Wakiso Giants will host Police and then UPDF at home.
