Uganda Cup – Police FC qualify for Finalz

Police FC have booked a place in the final of the 2022/23 Uganda Cup final despite losing 2-1 away at Adjumani but sail ahead though away goal rule. The kops won the first leg 1-0 courtesy of a Hassan Kikoyo spot kick

The visitors opened the scores at the stroke of first 45 minutes through Samuel Kayongo to bring half-time to a close.

The home side returned rejuvenated and created a couple of chances. The pressure finally paid off in the 52nd minute after Basani Safi leveled matters at Paridi Stadium, Adjumani sending the crowd wild.

The Cocks took the lead 11 minutes later. Despite leveling scores, Adjumani failed to add a third to propel them into the final.

Police await the winner between Soltilo Bright Stars FC and Vipers SC who will face off on Tuesday May 30th, 2023.

Vipers SC won the first-leg 4-0.
