Wednesday – Vipers Sc defeated Jinja North FC in their Uganda Cup Round of 32 played at Kyabazinga Stadium in Jinja, winning on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions prevailed 7-6 in a penalty shootout, edging out the Eastern side in a game of small margins.
The victory sets up Vipers SC for a place in the next stage of the competition.
Venoms manager Roberto Luiz Bianchi Pelliser gave run-outs to some new faces, as goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora, Osomba and Karim Ndugwa were selected.

Desire Tety, Martin Kiiza, Hillary Mukundane, Olivier Osomba, Fabien Mutombora, Isa Mubiru and Milton Karisa handed Vipers control with good penalties, and a hit at the crossbar gave the Premier League giants the advantage, but plenty of credit goes to Jinja North for their valiant display.
