Uganda Hockey Announces Overhaul in Technical Team for Senior Teams
Uganda Hockey has unveiled a revamped technical team setup for its senior teams, effective May 1st, 2024. The alterations, slated for a one-year period, underscore the federation’s unwavering dedication to elevating the sport’s performance and fostering its development across the country.
At the helm of these transformative adjustments stand two seasoned stalwarts: Bridget Baine assumes the role of Team Manager for the women’s squad, while Byron Matovu takes charge of the men’s team. Their leadership is anticipated to infuse fresh energy and strategic direction into Uganda’s hockey landscape.
In a bid to fine-tune the on-field dynamics, Moses Nsereko and Vincent Kasasa step into the shoes of Head Coaches for the women’s and men’s teams respectively.
Assisting them in their endeavors are Martin Okello and Bernerd Bwire, appointed as Assistant Coaches for the women’s and men’s teams respectively.
Dulf Musoke, entrusted with the pivotal role of Goalkeeping Coach, brings his proficiency between the posts to nurture and refine the goalkeepers’ skills, ensuring a formidable last line of defense for both teams.
In matters of health and fitness, Dr. Emmanuel Ewochu, MD, assumes responsibility as the team doctor, while Desire Mukisa and Solomon Ogwal are designated as Physiotherapists.

Completing the ensemble is Joshua Masawi, appointed as the Kit Manager, tasked with ensuring that the teams are impeccably outfitted and equipped for their encounters on the field.
