It was Mato’s first goal of the second round – and the win extended KCCA’s lead at the top of the league table by 5 points.

Until the forward’s effort, Byekwaso’s side created numerous decent chances, without really looking as though they were going to score.

Wakiso Giants, who were looking to win a second league match against KCCA, almost took the lead at the half hour mark but Moses Aliro was denied by a last ditch tackle by Wasswa.

The Purple Sharks have now lost four of their last six Premier League games against the Kasasiro Boys.

Wakiso are 4th on 25 points after 15 games, and clearly need to halt the slide before they end up out of top four.
