Tuesday – StarTimes Uganda Premier League defending champions Vipers secured vital three against SC Villa at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Tuesday evening.

Yunus Sentamu and Karim Watambala scored the two most important goals as the Venoms continue their fine form in the league.

Sentamu opened scoring inside 22 minutes. The forward capitalized on goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige’s mistake and loses the ball in the danger area only for the ‘The Hitman’ to slot home.

The visitors almost leveled scores early in the second half with their first real attempt at goal. Hassan Musana’s dipping free-kick was comfortably tipped over the crossbar by Goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza.

Substitute Karim Watambala scored Vipers second with three minutes to time with a beautiful finish.

The win propels the Kitende-based side to second on the Premier League log with 20 points, one behind leaders Wakiso Giants who continued their impressive start to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League season as they beat Express 3-2 in a pulsating match at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Monday.
