Spain won their first Women’s World Cup title after a 1-0 win over England in the final.
Olga Carmona was the star of the match as her 29th minute goal went into the far corner of the net and just out of reach of diving England goalkeeper Mary Earps.

Spain became the first European team to win the Women’s World Cup since Germany in 2007.
The 2023 Women’s World Cup winners were the better team and passed and pressed the entire game.
Golden girl Olga Carmona’s 18 goals in tournament made the 23 year-old the seventh player in tournament history to score in both the semifinals and the final.

Spain’s win came after a near mutiny last year when 15 players quit the national team.
Sweden finished third after beating co-host Australia on Saturday.
