DR Congo strengthened their hopes of progressing to the next phase of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 African Qualifiers after recording an impressive 82-62 victory over Madagascar in their opening game of Window 3 in Dakar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Congolese side delivered a composed and disciplined performance at the Marius Ndiaye Arena, controlling the game on both ends of the floor to secure a valuable win in Group B. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madagascar showed moments of resilience but struggled to cope with DR Congo’s physicality in the paint and efficient execution in key moments. The Leopards gradually took control of the contest and never allowed their opponents to mount a serious comeback. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victory boosts DR Congo’s position in a highly competitive group that also features hosts Senegal and C\u00f4te d’Ivoire. Before the start of Window 3, the Congolese entered the window with four points, knowing that every game would be crucial in the race for qualification to the next round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
