It\u2019s the first time in history that Senegal will go to the FIFA World Cup consecutively after winning 3-1 on Penalties against Egypt. The Senegalese suffered a 1-0 defeat in Cairo on the 25th<\/sup> of this Month and needed the same score to send the game into Penalties after 120 Minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a repeat of the AFCON 21 Finals as the game was tied 1-1 on aggregates in normal time and it went into Extra Time, Senegal opened the scoring in just 3 minutes in open play when Villarreal striker Boulaye Dia tapped in a loose ball in the 6-yard box after a free kick conceded by Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penalties had to determine the fate of both teams\u2019 qualification to Qatar due to the even display of both teams with home advantage, Egypt played a decent game in Cairo a few days ago and Senegal replicated a much better carbon-copy to go past the 7th<\/sup> time African Champions, the Defensive Partnership of Koulibaly and Cisse kept the front 3 of Egypt quiet throughout the entire game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both captains missed out on the Opening Penalties as Senegalese Koulibaly came in first to hit the woodwork, Salah came second and had one of the most awful and painful penalty kicks of his Career go over the bar, Senegalese Defender Ciss missed the second penalty as Zizo the Egyptian Midfielder did the same. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first 4 Penalty kicks were all missed then Watford FC Winger Ismaila Sarr who had an excellent display in both Legs stepped up and scored the First Penalty of the game to give the host more hopes of qualification, Egypt scored only 1 penalty through Al Alhy midfielder Amr El Solia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
