Dundee United Complete Sadat Anaku Signing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday<\/strong> – Scottish Premiership side Dundee United have confirmed the signing of former KCCA FC striker Sadat Anaku on a two-year deal. Sadat’s move is subject to a work permit and international clearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anaku becomes United\u2019s eighth summer signing following the captures of Dylan Levitt, Steven Fletcher, Jamie McGrath, Craig Sibbald, Mark Birighitti, Aziz Behich and Glenn Middleton. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is a big club with a rich history so I am very excited and looking forward to working for them.”<\/em> said Sadat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 21 year-old netted 22 goals in 67 games for KCCA FC and is considered a top prospect in the National team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sadat scored four goals in one game during his trials, following an integration period at Tannadice where he excelled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was also deployed as a number 9 in friendlies with Leicester U21s, Arsenal U21s and Newcastle where he showed his quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sadat also scored a hat-trick in a 6-2 Dundee United B Team win over Queen\u2019s Park earlier this week before putting pen to paper until 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anaku arrived on trial with United alongside compatriot Enock Walusimbi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou have to have a certain mental toughness to come in from overseas and settle. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Sadat has done that by leaving a really good impression on the players and staff at United.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe has a real hunger and drive to try and succeed in European football and sees this as a real opportunity to do that.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a really good finisher and will offer something different to the attacking options we already have at the club. That gives the squad a good balance.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere\u2019s an element of the unknown about him but we can see he has real potential.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat element of unknown can help us. Defenders won\u2019t know what he\u2019s about and he\u2019s not easy to play against from what I\u2019ve seen in training.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
