Bul FC<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Future FC go head-to-head at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende in an eagerly anticipated encounter in the\u00a0CAF Confederations Cup First Preliminary Round on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bul FC will be making their maiden appearance at the continental stage in the second biggest inter-clubs football competition on the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bul FC humiliated Vipers 3-1 to lift the 2021\/22 Uganda Cup<\/strong><\/em>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The East and North African sides will meet for the first time in the competition, with a place in the next round of the coveted competition at stake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hosts recently lost 1-0 to Rwanda’s Kiyovu FC courtesy of Erisa Keith Ssekisambu’s 84th minute goal in a friendly match. However, head coach Alex Isabirye has a full squad at his disposal ahead of Sunday’s encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bul FC completed last season on a high having won the Uganda Cup and finishing in the top four in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League. Meanwhile Future FC finished fifth in the Egyptian Premier League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just like Bul FC, visitors Future FC will be making their maiden appearance at the competition.<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Egyptian side jetted into Uganda on Monday 5 September, and are currently residing at Sheraton Hotel Kampala. Future FC are also debutants at this stage and their qualification to play at the preliminary qualification round was through a nomination by Egyptian Football Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CAF Confederation Cup, known as the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup is an annual association football club competition established in 2004 from a merger of the CAF Cup and the African Cup Winners’ Cup and organized by CAF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
