MAN UTD are in control of their Europa League semi-final against Roma after FIVE second half goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bruno Fernandes put the Red Devils ahead early on but Lorenzo Pellegrini’s penalty squared the match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And former Man City star Edin Dzeko then put the visitors in front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But United’s Cavani then netted twice before Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty and Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood added goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roma did have a huge stroke of misfortune in the first half as they were hit by three injuries, meaning they had to use up all their substitutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greenwood wrapped up the night with United’s sixth goal just minutes after coming on from the bench.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bruno Fernandes had a match of the match performance with two goals and assists respectively. The Portuguese talisman was instrumental as he gave Man United the lead in the first half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POGBA SPEAKS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul Pogba spoke about having the semi-finals wrapped up, he said: “The result is positive, but it’s not finished- we have one more leg to get through, so we’ll have to stay focused and play the next game with the same mentality.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I would say first half, we made two mistakes and conceded two goals. We were all over the place when we conceded the second goal.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“At half-time, the manager told us to just do the simple things right and stay motivated and we did that.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about giving away a penalty, Pogba was able to see the funny side, he added: “I don’t know how to tackle, I try to tackle and be the English guy, but I will just have to practice more.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I need to practise tackling without my arms now!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s unlucky for me, I’ve been unlucky this season for penalties, so I do need to work on that.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE FALL OF ROMA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five goals at the Stretford End helped United on their way to a Europa League final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They look shattered after that performance, unsurprisingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on BT Sport, Owen Hargreaves said: “United were absolutely world-class in the second half, that’s one of the best performances I’ve seen of this team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer<\/em>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
