Wednesday<\/strong> – Onduparaka FC beat UPDF FC 5-1 to claim their first win of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League season thanks to first-half strikes by Abonga Dominic and Oketch’s [penalty] and a second half hattrick from Ojara at Greenlight stadium on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to the win against the army side, Onduparaka had not won a game but forward Abonga began the process of erasing that record with his first goal of the season in the 15th minute, cancelling out Katende’s opener.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okech added a second in the 43rd minute through a spot kick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ojara who has been used mostly as a defender by Mawa Haruna and Hamza Kalanzi started upfront under new head coach Steven Bogere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lanky striker paid back Bogere’s trust with three goals in 20 minutes. He opened his account in the 55th minute. Five minutes later, he added a second before completed his hattrick and the caterpillars fifth goal of the evening in the 75th minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
