MTN sponsors Uganda: FUFA signs shs19 billion deal for national teams <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday<\/strong> – MTN Uganda\u00a0have agreed a deal with the\u00a0Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA)\u00a0worth in the region of shs19 billion to become the new main sponsor the Uganda Cranes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sponsorship deal also includes support to the Crested Cranes, that is the national women\u2019s team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am excited on behalf of MTN Uganda to officially announce that we are bringing back the game to Ugandans, who are the most passionate fans of our football. Let’s go Uganda Cranes,” Sylvia Mulinge, CEO Mtn Uganda stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As MTN Uganda we are giving away UGX. 19 billion towards sponsorship for the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) programs,” she continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This new sponsorship deal also includes support to the Crested Cranes, that is the national women\u2019s team. This was a key focus for us, while negotiating this partnership. It complements the effort of the government and society in general in ensuring equal opportunities for all.” she concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hon. Moses Magogo,\u00a0the FUFA President appreciated MTN Uganda for the support. He said:\u00a0“Thank you MTN Uganda for the great support. This sponsorship package will go a long way in addressing the multiple challenges faced by the federation,” he continued, “It will also push the country towards its ambition of qualifying for this year\u2019s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and 2026 FIFA World Cup among other targeted milestones.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Somdev Sen, the Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Uganda said the game will bring back the passion in Ugandan football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
