Zone V Afrobasket Women Qualifiers – Game Day One Fixtures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday<\/strong> – The much anticipated FIBA Zone V Afrobasket Women Qualifiers will officially kickoff today Tuesday 14 February until Sunday 19 February at the MTN Arena Lugogo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five countries including Egypt, Rwanda, Sudan, Kenya, and host Uganda have confirmed their participation in the qualifiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FUBA had anticipated more than 10 teams to participate in the tournament but this number has not been achieved with only hours left to the start of the games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winner of the qualifiers will take the single slot in the 2023 FIBA Women\u2019s AfroBasket.\u00a0The Gazelles have made two appearances in the tournament having appeared in 1997 and in 2015.\u00a0They will make their third appearance if they win the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
