The Black Pirates beat KOBs 23-07 as they sailed to the 2023 Nile Special Rugby Premier League title over the weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After missing out on crucial bonus points during the start of the season, the Pirates regrouped in the second round to put on outstanding performances including defeating Heathens at Kyadondo and KOBs in the last heated up fixture of game day 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A hat-trick of penalty tries from the Sea Robbers\u2019 Ivan Magomu gave them a lead in the first half which they later captalized with two tries from Timothy Odongo and Desire Ayera in the second half. Ivan Magomu\u2019s conversions almost sealed a 23:00 win before KOBs Karim Arinaitwe’s try and Aredo\u2019s conversion made the score line 23-07 in the last ditch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Buccaneers\u2019 23-07 win against KOBs was their 17th<\/sup> win of the 2022-2023 campaign with only one loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Black Pirates now have the second league trophy added to their cabinet after winning their first one in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
