Vipers SC will attempt to get their CAF Champions League Preliminary campaign off the ground when they host Botswana side Jwaneng Galaxy at Lobatse Sports Complex on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domestically, Vipers SC were crowned Champions of the 2022\/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The venoms clinched the title on the final day of the season after securing a convincing 5-0 win over Busoga United FC at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Vipers SC’s superior goal difference, URA’s defeat at the hands of SC Villa 1-0 at Wankulukuku gave Vipers the league on a silver platter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, Vipers SC became the second Ugandan side to qualify for the group stages of the CAF Champions League after a 4-2 victory over TP Mazembe in spot kicks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, they were eliminated with a game to spear after a 1-1 draw with Moroccan side Raja Casablanca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
