The draw for the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation\u2019s (AGCFF) Gulf Club Champions League was held doha on Monday. Qatar\u2019s Al Arabi will square off against Saudi Pro League team Ettifaq FC in Group B of the new tournament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This revamped competition, featuring eight top clubs from the region, is set to kick off on October 23 and conclude on April 15, 2025. The draw for the AGCFF Gulf Club Champions League was conducted at Doha\u2019s Kempinski Hotel. Qatar\u2019s Al Arabi was placed in Group B alongside Saudi Arabia\u2019s Ettifaq FC, Bahrain\u2019s Al Riffa SC, and Kuwait\u2019s Qadsia SC. Meanwhile, Group A features Iraq\u2019s Duhok SC, the UAE\u2019s Al Nasr, Oman\u2019s Dhofar SC, and Yemen\u2019s Al Ahli Sanaa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$3mn for the champions, $2mn for the losing finalistsThe AGCFF recently announced the enticing prize money for the Gulf Club Champions League. The winners of the tournament will receive a substantial $3mn, while the runners-up will be awarded $1mn. Additionally, individual accolades include $50,000 each for the best player, best goalkeeper, and top scorer of the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jassim al-Rumaihi, the Secretary-General of the AGCFF, expressed his anticipation for a high-quality performance from the participating clubs throughout the tournament. He said on Monday: \u201cThis edition builds upon the success of previous tournaments. The competing teams possess notable names and a rich history. We are hopeful that, with God\u2019s Will, this championship will showcase exceptional technical skills of the players from this region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would like to extend my gratitude to all the clubs for their participation.\u201dIn the first stage of the tournament, each team will play six matches both home and away. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, which will also be played on a home-and-away basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
