Qatar–Morocco Transfer Spotlight: Amine Zouhzouh Joins Al-Wakrah for $3 Million

Moroccan midfielder Amine Zouhzouh has completed a high-profile move to Al-Wakrah SC, signing a three-year contract worth $3 million following an impressive spell at AS FAR Rabat.

According to Moroccan outlet 2m.ma, the agreement also includes an annual bonus approaching $1 million, making it one of the most notable transfers for the Rabat-based club in recent years.

The 24-year-old, who has emerged as one of Morocco’s brightest talents, leaves AS FAR after amassing 24 goals and 24 assists during his tenure. His creativity and precision on the field have drawn interest from several European clubs, yet Zouhzouh opted to embark on a new challenge in the Qatar Stars League.

Zouhzouh remains engaged with the Moroccan national setup and was most recently in training camp with the squad for players born after 2000, preparing for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2025, scheduled to run from August 2 to 30.Al-Wakrah’s signing of Zouhzouh signals the club’s ambition to strengthen its midfield and compete for top honors in the upcoming season.
