A sports journalist with multiple experiences is travelling the world with his weapon. It’s obvious a journalist’s weapon is his Device. Nahid had and still having his Weapon called ‘,Camera’.

From working as a random local news portal to cover the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, this is the story of Md Nahid Islam (Sumon).

Nahid comes from the north of Bangladesh, Rajshahi Division. He’s from Bhandergram of Noagaon. He started his educational journey from 25 Kamta Government School.

After completing the primary education from this institution, he went to Kamta S N High School. He passed his college life in Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam College Rajshahi.

Since his school days he started working on different new portal of his local area. His primary journalism career begins at Eyenewsbd portal in 2017. He also worked in Daily Shomoyer Alo and Daily Nobojug News.

Currently he’s working as a representative of Moon Times News, Daily Khaborer kagoj and Mytv (Bangladeshi TV channel) in Qatar.

Oh yes, Qatar has a connection with the heading of this writing. At the age of 22, he Covered Fifa World Cup 2022 in Qatar. Just imagine a boy came from a village of Bangladesh is covering The Greatest Sports Event of all time in Qatar. We can address the journey as ‘When 22 meets 22’.

He worked as a Host Country Press Journalist in Qatar FiFa World Cup. Beside this, he also covers AFC Asian Cup 2023 and AFC Under 19 Asian cup 2024 in Qatar. Currently he’s working as a photo journalist in Fifa World Cup 2026 qualifiers and AFC Champions League 2024-2025 tournament.

He was also the first Bangladeshi sports Journalist who became a Member of International Sports Journalist press Association (AIPS). He wrote several features from outside Bangladesh and those Articles were published in Bangladeshi news Channel.

He’s engaged in Social works too. Nahid is the general secretary of qatar Bondhushava of Prothom Alo. He was also worked as volunteer of more than 50 social event of qatar. Nahid works as a data scout of transfermarkt.

Nahid’s story may inspire millions of bangladeshi. At the age of 22, he did what thousands of people dream of. Never give up early or never underestimate your age. Age is just a number if you have that caliber.
