2 min readUganda Cranes Coach Paul Joseph Put named has named a 28-man Squad ahead of the preparations for the much anticipated 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in June.
The Belgian-Born coach revealed the summoned squad on Thursday in a press conference held at FUFA Complex in Mengo. The coach believes these players will be up to the task in the upcoming games. “I believe the players summoned are in the right shape and in perfect condition to represent the country,” he says.
Uganda Cranes will play Botswana and Algeria on 7th and 10th June respectively in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at Mandela National Stadium -Namboole. The Cranes return to the facility for the 1st time since 2019.
Notably, new faces on the team is defender Elio Capradossi who plies his trade at Serie B side Calcio Lecco FC in Italy and KCCA FC Midfielder Joel Sserujjogi who has had a remarkable season at the lugogo based club.
The summoned team is expected to enter residential camp on 30th May 2024.
