SC Villa Prepares for Revenge Against KCCA FC.
2 min readThe Jogoos will return to their home of memories in Mandela National Stadium – Namboole as they visit close rivals KCCA FC on matchday 26 of the Startimes Uganda Premier League this Wednesday, May 1st, 2024.
SC Villa comes into this fixture with the ambition to take home all the available points as they look to close the points gap between them and the current leader on the log.
The last time the sides met at Wankulukuku, KCCA FC walked away with all the bragging rights, and the Jogoos will look to overturn the result in seek for revenge.
Norman Angufindru, who is still recovering from injury, Junior Niwamanya, Simon Mukisa, and Hakim Mutebi, who are representing their respective schools in the ongoing Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association games, will all not be available for selection.
Defender Arnold Odong will have to face a late fitness test to be available for selection. Other than that, the squad is available for selection.
“We know the importance of tomorrow’s game in our ambitions to reach our desired goals this season. We understand that KCCA is not an easy team to play given the quality of players they have, but we’re ready to go all out and have the points,” said Defender Joseph Kafumbe.
The game will kick off at 7 pm (EAT) under the floodlights and will be live on Sanyuka and FUFA TV.
