South Sudan beat Djibouti 4-2 in the first leg of the Afcon2023 qualifiers preliminary. The game was played at Borg El Arab Stadium, Alexandria in Egypt.
Tito Okello scored a brace, he converted a penalty in the 54th minute and later went ahead to score in the 75th minute.
Others goals were scored by Toha R and Gama W in the 68th minute and 89th minute respectively.
Eswatini also went ahead to secure a win against Somalia by beating them 3-0. Thanks to goals from Dlamini, Mamba and Gamedze to give Eswatini a win in the first leg.
Seychelles failed to get a win against Lesotho at Cote d’Or National Stadium after Lehlohonolo Fothane missed a penalty in the 28th minute.
