Saturday – World half Marathon record holder Jacob Kiplimo cruised to victory at the World Cross-country.

Kiplimo took charge of the race with a lap to go and never looked back as he pulled further from the lead group that had, four time World Cross champion, Geoffrey Kamworor, defending champion, Joshua Cheptegei and the World 5km record holder, Berihu Aregawi.

The 22 year-old pulled further away with every corner that he took to easily win the race in a time of 29:17.
Ethiopia’s Aregawi came in second position after passing Joshua Chepetegei to claim silver in 29:26 with the defending champion finishing third in 29:37.
Kenyan athlete Kamworor crossed the finish line in fourth and was given the same time as Chepetegei.
