Final Showdown at Kadiba: Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC vs Kampala Queens in FUFA Women’s Cup Decider

Kadiba Stadium will be the centre of attention on 21st June 2026 as two of Uganda’s most dominant women’s football side Kawempe Muslim Ladies and Kampala Queens lock horns in what promises to be a thrilling Women’s Cup encounter.

Both teams head into this clash in emphatic fashion after dominant performances in the previous rounds. Kawempe Muslim Ladies booked their place in the showdown with a commanding 6–0 aggregate victory over Amus Women Football Club with Jovia, Samalie Nakacwa, Agnes Nabukenya and Latifah Nakasi showcasing their attacking depth all appearing on the score sheet in both legs. On the other side, Kampala Queens brushed aside Lady Doves with a convincing 4–0 aggregate win with on form Ainembabazi and kamiyati netting in both legs.

This fixture brings together two giants of Ugandan women’s football. Kawempe Muslim, historically one of the most successful clubs in the country searching for a double recently reaffirmed their dominance by clinching the 2025/26 FUFA Women Super League title, continuing their legacy as a powerhouse in the game, they enter this year’s final after losing previous one to Amus College WFC.

Meanwhile, Kampala Queens search for their first women’s cup having steadily grown into one of the most competitive and consistent teams in recent years.

The clash at Kadiba is more than just a cup tie, it is a battle of identity, pride, and supremacy between two sides that have shaped the modern women’s game in Uganda.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Kawempe Muslim Ladies

  • Latifah Nakasi. A lethal forward known for her clinical finishing. She has consistently delivered every time the team needs her, having scored a brace in semi finals, finishing as the joint league topscorer with Jesca Namanda netting 15 and last yea’s women’s topscorer (8)
  • Agnes Nabukenya. The 2025/26 LFA women player of the year known for her creative force capable of unlocking defenses with precise deliveries and vision alongside netting goals.

Kampala Queens

Ainembabazi joan. Known for her shot and delivery when it comes to scoring. The on form forward managed to secured a brace in both of the semi final matches that helped the team to secure the final sport.

• Kamiyati Naigaga. A speedy versatile forward known for her agility to drift comfortably onto the wings, she managed to appear on the score sheet with a brace too in the semi final fixture.

The stakes are high, the rivalry is real, and Kadiba Stadium is set to witness a memorable chapter in Ugandan women’s football.
