German The Butiki league grand finale happening on the 29th Oct 2022.

30th April 2022 was the first match day in the butiki league season 2 and the season will be coming to a climax on the 29th of October 2022 which doubles as match day 6 and the grand finale at the St Henry’s sports center Kabalagala.
The organizing committee is working tirelessly to have an amazing finale.
“We are planning to have something simple but remarkable. I call upon all the boys to come with their families and friends because it will be more than soccer that day. Let’s come in big numbers and have fun.” Chairperson Of Butiki league, Wanyela Samuel.
A number of 16 teams have participated this season. These teams are formed based on the cohorts students were in while at kiira College Butiki one of the best traditional schools in the country.
We come to this final match day when Nyulya FC class of 1999-2002 is on top of the table with 29 points and unbeaten in the 11 games played. They are 7 points above second-placed Aredo FC. Nyulya FC is the oldest cohort in the league however it has experienced ex-professional players in Isaac Isinde, Webster, Ndiiro Dan, Azam, and Joshua. These have played a pivotal role for their team and that’s why they are the title contenders.
When asked how the season has been and the chances he has to win the Inaugural golden boot of the butiki league. Top scorer, Webster of Nyulya FC had to say this;
“It’s been Allah, consistency, and team efforts. I am not the best player on the team but we play collectively. I have 16 goals but it’s been with the help of my mates both on and off the pitch. My target is to help my team lift the trophy of the Butiki league and I am positive I will win the golden boot. I will be so happy when we achieve this. And lastly, I am proud to be a butician.”
O- five FC, the only team yet to win a single match is under going intense training sessions so as to register their first victory in the league.This is the team with the best vibes in the league as they are always having fun from the first minute to the last. Their guest fan is Mildred Pedun of NTV
Dancehall artiste, Nutty Nethain who is an old boy of Butiki and subscribes to Blue dollar FC is expected to turn up and showcase his soccer skills. Raymond Mujuni of NTV, Sewaya Ismail Miti a member of FUFA, Wasswa Emma a player at KCCA, Stephen Odongo of Onduparaka FC, Joel Mutakabwa, and Dr. Batesaki Aggrey(chairperson KICOBA) are some of the old boys turning up to represent their cohorts.
On the 29th of October 2022, games shall begin at exactly 9 AM. There will be a select match between the Butiki league champions and the Butiki legends and then an awarding ceremony to close the day.
