FUFA DRUM – Lango defeat Tooro to set up a Northern final

Sunday – Lango Province held off a stirring comeback from Tooro to reach the 2022 FUFA Drum final on Sunday as first-half penalty from Allan Okello secured a 3-2 aggregate victory.

The Northern side were the better of the two teams across 90 minutes. Tooro were careless, perhaps complacent even, in the first half but sensational in the second, finding an intensity and pace, but couldn’t level the scores.

Lango will play West Nile Province in a two-legged finals. The 1st leg will be played on 7th January 2023 at AbaBet Green light stadium.

West Nile defeated defending champions Acholi Province home and away to reach the finals. The White Rhinos were 1-0 winners in the first leg at Greenlight stadium before a 1-1 encounter in the return leg at Pece Stadium. West Nile advanced 2-1 on aggregate.
