AFCON2023 Qualifiers: Tunisia vs Equatorial Guinea; Team News, Fixtures.
Tunisia play against Equatorial Guinea later tonight at the Stade Olympique de Rades at 22hrs EAT in their first game of the African Cup Nations 2023 Qualifiers.
The last time these two teams met in the AFCON qualifier games was in 2021 where Tunisia went ahead to beat Equatorial Guinea 2-1, thanks to goals from Jaziri and an own goal from Carlos Akapo who plays for Cadiz CF in Spain.
They last met in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture in November, with Nzalang Nacional securing a 1-0 win in that match.
Tunisia will be without Wahbi Khazri, Ellyes Skhiri and Dylan Bronn due to injuries.
Saul Coco, Carlos Akapo, Iban Salvador Edú, Javier Akapo won’t be up for selection for Equatorial Guinea due to injuries as Esteban Orozco is suspended by CAF.
Other teams in Group J include Libya and Botswana. Libya beat Botswana 1-0 in their first game of the qualifiers.
