Basketball World Cup 2023 Africa Qualifiers: News, Updates and Fixtures.
FIBA World Cup 2023 Africa Qualifiers resumes next month for the 5th Window and the last before we head for the World Cup in August.
Games will be played starting on the 24th, 25th and 26th February 2023 in Luanda, Angola and Cairo, Egypt.
Cote d’Ivoire are the only African team that has already qualified for the 2023 World Cup that will take place in Philippines, Indonesia and Japan on the 25th August.
The Silverbacks (Uganda) are currently the last in Group E with 8pts. They have lost all three games played in August 2022. They lost to Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea and Angola.
Uganda will play against Angola in their first game of the 5th window. They will need wins from all their remaining games to have a chance of qualifying for World Cup in Japan.
South Sudan are currently the group leaders of Group F with 17pts followed by Egypt who have 16pts. Other teams in the group include Senegal, Tunisia, DR Congo and Cameroon respectively.
Group E has Cote d’Ivoire who are currently the leaders with 14pts followed by Angola, Cape Verde, Nigeria, Guinea and Uganda.
